The emergency department at HCA Houston Southeast provides a wide range of care, such as:

Heart attack care – As an accredited Chest Pain Center, we are dedicated to significantly reducing mortality rates. Our cardiology and surgical care teams consist of board-certified emergency physicians who are available 24/7. We also have a catheterization lab and an ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) program.
Stroke care – As a Primary Stroke Center, we have a dedicated team of experts who specialize in effective treatment and rehabilitation for patients who have experienced a stroke.
Trauma care – As a designated Level III Trauma Center, we have immediate coverage by board-certified general surgeons. We also provide comprehensive care for every aspect of injury, from prevention through rehabilitation.

Emergency and urgent care in Southeast Houston

In addition to our main hospital emergency department, we serve southeast Houston through two HCA Houston ER 24/7 locations in the Fairmont and North Channel areas. A department of HCA Houston Southeast, HCA Houston ER 24/7 - Fairmont and HCA Houston ER 24/7 - North Channel offer full-service emergency care, board-certified physicians and access to laboratory and imaging services. They are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays, and can treat all types of acute injuries and illnesses.

Many ER visits can be resolved without a hospital stay. If inpatient care is needed, we can provide direct admission to an HCA Houston Healthcare-affiliated facility or facilitate your admission to the hospital of your choice.

While emergency rooms are designed to treat patients with critical conditions and life-threatening injuries, those experiencing minor injuries or illnesses may want to seek urgent care. HCA Houston Healthcare is proud to be affiliated with CareNow®, our network of urgent care centers with 19 locations across the Houston area.
